Thank you to everyone who attended our tryouts! It was awesome to see such a great showing. The level of talent ensures that Zone 4 will once again be one of the teams to beat at the 2026 games!
A few FAQ items
1. Now what?
The coaches will compile all the data collected and build a list of around 30 players who will make it through to the next round of evaluations. We will then schedule a couple more sessions over the next few months to bring the number down to the final 15 plus 2 alternates.
2. Will there be a cost for each player that ultimately makes the team? For example, things like.... a registration cost, travel, food, clothing or accommodations in Kelowna? There is a $250.00 summer games registration fee for players who make the team that covers all costs at the games including travel to and from Kelowna as well as meals, etc. Part of that is a Softball BC fee for t-shirts, hats, etc. 3. Will there be practices for the Zone 4 team throughout the winter months?As noted above there will be a couple of practices in the Fall/Winter to help bring the roster down to 15. The plan is not to rush the final selection.4. Would there be practices throughout the spring/summer months during the softball season? Once the team has been selected there may be a couple of practices in the spring plus a team bonding event and maybe a couple of exhibitions in the weeks leading up to the games. We will be working to avoid conflicts with club teams. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
