About the games

Welcome to the 2026 BC Summer Games Zone 4 softball site

The 2026 BC Summer games will be held in Kelowna, British Columbia on July 22-26, 2026. Softball teams from the different geographical zones in British Columbia will go head to head in a unique, fun, and competitive format all hoping to secure a medal for the communities that make up their zone.

Zone 4 is situated in the Lower mainland of BC and includes the following communities: Anmore, Belcarra, Burnaby, Cloverdale, Coquitlam, Crescent Beach, New Westminster, North Burnaby, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, South Surrey, Surrey, and White Rock. You MUST have a valid address in one of these communities to try out for the Zone 4 team.

In 2026 the player birthyears will be 2011 and 2012

The games are a unique experience based on the all star format. Once the coaches have been chosen any eligible players (as above) will be invited to attend a tryout or series of tryouts to select a team of 15 players and 2 substitutes who will represent Zone 4 at the 2026 games. Players chosen will be transported as a team from the Lower Mainland to Kelowna on a charter bus. All players will be billeted at a location in Kelowna for the duration of the games. Food and transportation to and from games will be handled by the summer games hosts. Once the games are complete the players will return by bus back to the Lower Mainland.

In addition to the softball games the players will attend an opening celebration with all of the other athletes attending the games from all over BC. There are also special social events for the players to attend as well.

The head coach for the 2026 Zone 4 team is Phil Nguyen. We are happy to welcome back Hannah Dawkins and Jourdan Evans as assistant coaches.
